SHiFT. A small word with huge potential.

SHiFT Cycling and Balance started with a vision to create workout experiences that are accessible yet challenging to everyone, no matter where they are in their fitness journey. We set out to create an inspirational and motivational experience focused on a greater connection between mind and body. By exchanging the traditional health club for a small group training format for functional training, we’ve built a confidence boosting, judgment-free, no-nonsense environment for effective workouts.

Developed from the mind and motivation of a competitive athlete and trainer, SHiFT is all about working together and being accountable to become our best selves. We push and motivate you physically to feel healthier and happier. When you change your actions, you change the outcome.

New Beginnings

Hello! We are Merideth and Michael, SHiFT Cycling + Balance's owners as of early 2019. We are thrilled and honored to be a part of the SHiFT community.

Community is what made us fall in love with SHiFT in the first place and it is the reason why we made the decision to step into these shoes. Both passionate about fitness and living well, we are here to continue the mission that SHiFT's was founded upon.

 
 

How it all got started.

Jenn Kuehn began SHiFT Cycling with a vision to create a workout experience that is accessible yet challenging to everyone, no matter where they are in their fitness levels. She launched SHiFT Cycling in March 2014. Our members experience an intense yet approachable cardio workout on state-of-the-art bikes and with the best cycling instructors in the industry to SHiFT them physically and mentally.

After Jenn launched SHiFT Cycling, the team realized that their members needed more than just cycling to connect their physical, emotional and spiritual being. We live in a fast paced world and are pulled in a million different directions between family, our careers and everything in between. In October 2015, SHiFT Balance, a range of fitness experiences from Barre, Strength Training, HiiT and more, was established downstairs, creating a space where the community could find balance - a one-stop shop for fitness on the shoreline!
